Easter...a time for renewing our faith

Easter is a great time of year. Among other things, I look forward to how pretty my Church is, the candy chocolate rabbits, marshmallow peeps and candy coated chocolate almond eggs. Most essential of all, I look forward to increasing and renewing my faith in God.

Jesus knew he was going to die for your sins and mine. He knew he was going to be betrayed. He knew he would suffer immeasurable pain in the process of fulfilling the prophecy and His Fathers plan. He also knew he would rise on the third day and return to confirm his resurrection with believers before ascending to Heaven to sit at his Fathers Hand.  He had to be without sin, to die for our sin.

I use this time before Easter to renew my faith and you can too.  It comes with a decision to live for Him instead of myself. For me at least, this is a conscious decision...one which I reaffirm each day and renew at Easter.

When I wake up, I thank God for keeping me alive one more day. I give thanks for what I have and the many blessings I will receive this day. I ask for his guidance in my decision making and to be a blessing to others. This few minutes I spend with Him each morning I believe helps me reaffirm that my life is all for him. To bring glory to God.

Right now, or tomorrow morning when you wake up, reaffirm that your life is about God. You will find, (as I have), that your day will go significantly better with renewed energy and focus on what is most important....bringing Glory to God and a blessing to others.
